Graduated with honors (3.5 G.P.A.) from Michigan State University in 2003, obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Employed by the Michigan Department of Transportation for 10+ years.  Worked in the following roles:

• Engineer Co-op program (2 years)
• Engineer-in-training program (1 year)
• Design Engineer (2 years)
• Permit and Utility Coordination Engineer (6 years)
• Traffic and Safety Engineer (2 years)

Employed by C2AE, a private engineering and architecture firm based in Lansing, Michigan for 2 years.  Worked as a roadway design engineer.

Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan since 2008.
